THE OBJECTIVE
 Thomson Lifelong Learning Group of The Thompson Corporation had a multitude of marketing communication needs in various media, complicated by the fact that the organization, its products and its services continued to grow through acquisition. It was important that they have a marketing communications firm readily available to address their varied needs.
THE STRATEGY
- Events—We provided a full range of event services, from development of the theme, design of HTML email and printed invitations, event registration, design and production of opening the show, advertising, banners, signage, give-aways, and event collateral such as presentation templates, printed programs and handouts, to onsite assistance with registration, opening the show, and presentations.
- Brochures & Sell Sheets—With new products and services constantly being assimilated into the mix, new marketing and sales materials were critical. Bresette + Company designed and produced effective brochures and sell sheets that were consistent with the branding guidelines for Thomson Learning while retaining a connection with the acquired brand.
- Advertisements—Bresette + Company designed an ad published in Fortune Magazine, a first for Thomson Learning. The ad also appeared in Business Management Eastern Europe.
- PowerPoint Templates—Presentations were important marketing communications for Thomson Learning, needed for proposals to prospective corporations, investor groups, internal meetings and external events. Bresette + Company designed customized PowerPoint templates and slide graphics that clearly communicated complex concepts. Interesting transitions and some animations further enhanced the presentations. In addition, Bresette + Company developed the corporate presentation to be utilized by all the Thomson Learning business units.
THE RESULTS
Thomson Learning had effective marketing communications in a variety of media, all of which were consistent in look and feel to support and strengthen their branding strategy. |
